Geo Persada Konsultan provided repair design for sheet piles located at PT. Antang Gunung Meratus working area, in South Kalimantan. The design consisted of front wall and back wall, connected using tie beams securing an approximately 150 meters long river slope. The front wall depth was optimized based on the recent soil investigation data that we proposed, while the back wall depth was optimized even further by dredging recommendation that we suggested.
Located in Palembang, South Sumatera, Boombaru passenger terminal was planned to be renovated with a new architectural design. PT. Geo Persada Konsultan assisted the architect to ensure the new design can be supported by the existing structure. We performed visual observation as well as a field test to measure the strength of the concrete structure. We provided recommendations for structural repairs based on our observations to improve the integrity of the structure.
Our team assisted PT. Wahana Bara Sentosa (PT. WBS) in determining the capacity of an existing On Ground Feeder’s (OGF) foundation, as part of PT. WBS plan to increase the stockpile capacity at the OGF. We performed soil investigation consisted of 3 cone penetration tests (CPT) in addition to multiple boreholes and CPT tests conducted during the design phase of the foundation, several years earlier. Based on the CPT tests, we provided a threshold load of the stockpile to optimize the foundation capacity. Additionally, we also performed a Detailed Engineering Design (DED) to strengthened the existing foundation, if the OGF capacity would be increased even further in the future.
Geo Persada Konsultan was requested to review a soil investigation data and provide proper soil parameters for the detail design of a railway project. Located in South Sumatera, the challenge of the project was the deep peat layer that requires thorough analyses and judgement to determine the design parameters. As the client’s representative, we collaborated with client’s design group to finalize the detailed embankment design. Our engineers also successfully presented the analysis process to the railway operator, obtaining the permit to continue the project.
